Holy Qur’an memorisation contest begins in Dubai

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has inaugurated the 4th session of Holy Qur’an recitation and memorisation contest at the licensed Holy Qur’an memorisation centres.

Adel Juma Matar, Head of Islamic Institutions Department, stated that the contest is part of the department’s strategic plan, which aims to disseminate Islamic culture, raise the religious awareness, and take care of the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, in addition to enhancing the level of Holy Qur’an memorisation centres in Dubai.

The contest is judged by specialised judges of the Holy Qur’an.

Participation in the contest is obligatory for all centres in Dubai. The centres are evaluated annually according to this contest. The contest is for male and female students and has different categories.
