Housewife allegedly molested by delivery man

A jobless man allegedly molested a housewife by forcibly entering her house under the guise of delivering grocery, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

According to the Prosecution sheet, KB, 28, Pakistani, entered the house and then the bedroom forcibly and molested the 29-year-old Chinese housewife ZX. He was also accused of stealing her mobile phone and consuming alcohol.

Prosecution records mentioned that the victim was in her underwear when the accused pulled her towards the wall. He has beaten her, forced her to take off her underwear and molested her.

"I was alone at home when someone knocked at the door. I thought it was the delivery man as I had ordered some grocery. When I opened the door, I saw a man with a bag of fruits in his hands. I thought my husband had sent it while he parked his car. I allowed him to put them in and went to the bedroom to change my dress. I heard a knock at the bedroom’s door. Thinking it was my husband I opened the door. It was the man who came with the fruit bag. He pushed me to the door and tried to hand me the bag and spoke language that I did not understand,” ZX testified before the Prosecution.

“He pulled me from my hair down to the floor. I managed to call my husband but couldn't explain to him what happened as the attacker snatched my phone and switched it off. He slapped me and stripped me naked and molested me. At that moment the watchman knocked at the door. My husband had called him and asked him to go up and see what the problem is,” she said.

The Indian watchman testified that the suspect ran away when he came to rescue the housewife.

Presiding Judge Mohammad Majid Mohammad adjourned the case to March 24 to bring the suspect from detention.
