Illegal immigrant raped fellow citizen

A 45-year-old Bangladeshi worker received five years jail term for raping a woman.

The culprit, JAM was also ordered to pay Dh1,000 fine for consuming alcohol was ordered deportation after serving his jail term.

The convict was also found guilty of re-entering the country illegally after being deported by the authorities.

According to records, the victim MAN, visitor testified that she used to work in a saloon in her village. “AK who is from my village offered me a job in a saloon in Dubai with a monthly salary Bangladeshi Taka20,000 (Dh932.75),”she said.

“I agreed and handed him over BDT90,000 for the visa. After receiving the visa he told me that his relative named JAM will receive me at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.”

“JAM came along with another man and drove to Dubai where he dropped me at a building,” the victim testified.

JK then accompanied her to a flat. “I asked him to give me his mobile to call my family back home and inform them about my arrival.” 

The two men left the flat and locked the door from outside.

Later that night the victim saw JAM in an inebriated state sleeping next to her.  He had undressed her and forced her to please him.

She said, “As I refused, he went to the kitchen and brought a knife with which he threatened me of killing if I do not submit to his request.”

“I got scared and submitted to him although he put the knife aside later. He did that three times every about 15 minutes. He soon got tired and so went off to sleep. I slept too,” she testified.

The next morning she went to the balcony and yelled for help. The watchman opened the flat’s door with a spare key. Soon police arrived and arrested the accused.

 Forensic reported the DNA of JAM in the victim’s body.
