International Indian School Ajman to get new building

International Indian School, Ajman, will shift its operations to a state-of- the-art new building by mid-2011, said Abdul Majeed, Principal of the school.

A contract to build the new school premise was signed between Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the School Management Committee and the General Manager of Amlak, Department of Private Properties, Ajman.

As per the contract, the new building, which can accommodate 2,800 students will be handed over to the school management by June 15, 2011. The project contract was signed by N Alam Choudhury, Managing Director of Prestige Construction Company. The school will start Grades XI and XII classes for science, commerce and humanities streams by 2012 and 2013 academic year.
 
“The proposed class rooms will be supported by multimedia systems and the KG sections will be equipped with ample facilities, for intellectual development and physical growth of the Young Genuises. In addition, KG section will be provided with indoor and outdoor activity areas with modern amenities and play areas,” he added.

The proposed school labs will be equipped with internet facilities, modern lab equipment. In addition there will be a modern auditorium with 500 seats and a huge playground.

“More curricular and extracurricular activities will be included in the yearly  plan and the holistic approach will be continued for student evaluation as per the new CBSE standards,” he added.

The school transport facility will also be extended to Umm Al Quwain in addition to Sharjah and Ajman, currently served.  The Madrasa School will also be shifted to the new premises.
