Investigations into foreign-linked group underway

The Public Prosecution's interrogation of the members of the organisation recently arrested is underway as the suspects are still in custody, Ali Salim Al Tenaiji, the Attorney General at the Federal Prosecutor General's office stated.

"Initial investigations and confessions of the suspects revealed plans which jeopardise the security of the state, as well as ties between the organisation's members and suspicious foreign parties and organisations," he said.

The Attorney General warned against false news reports and unfair rumors being spread by parties who seek to influence the fair investigations into the case.

He stressed that results of the investigations will be made public by the Public Prosecution upon completion.
