IPL 7 tickets sold out? Watch match for free

Tickets for the UAE leg of the popular Indian Premier League tickets (IPL) matches are fast selling out, with only the most premium (read: expensive) ones still available for the weekend matches.

Recently, this website reported that IPL 7 tickets were being re-sold illegally for Dh375, many times over their original price of Dh80. Several cricket fans braved crowd and chaos, queuing up for hours to buy tickets at the right venues even as many complained that everything was sold out before their turn.

If you’ve been stuck in this situation and have failed to get your hands on the tickets and are relatively free, here’s a chance for you to watch the matches absolutely free – provided you’re willing to undertake a bit of work at the venue and, of course, get paid for it.

This is the latest bit of news doing the rounds of Facebook. Tagged under part-time jobs UAE, the Facebook post elaborates that gırls and boys are required to work for IPL matches but only those being played by Mumbai Indıans. These jobs are at the merchandiser stand and involve dıstrıbution activities in the stadium.

The job dates are different in the three emirates in the country. For the 16th of the month the work required to be done will be in Abu Dhabi, for 19thand 25th in Dubai, for 27th in Sharjah and for 30th again in Dubai.

In return, you get to watch the match for free and also get paid for your work. You can get Dh250 per day for five hours of work.

And, for those who still prefer to try their luck in buying the tickets you can get them at Lulu Hypermarket branches in Al Qusais, Al Barsha, Karama and Arabian Centre, as well as at AJ Sports and on line at www.ticketmaster.ae.

Prices for matches start from Dh30 (one match) and Dh50 (double-headers) and go up to Dh200 (one match) and Dh250 (double-headers) for Platinum seating.
