It's rain and clouds in the UAE this week

Temperatures across the UAE would drop by almost 2 degrees today and tomorrow with a partly cloudy weather and a remote possibilities of rain.

According to the forecast by the National Centre for Meteorology and Siesmology, while it could rain in the western parts of Abu Dhabi today, the north western region might experience some light showers on Sunday.

Overall the weather during the next week will remain pleasant with a maximum of 32 degrees.

For Saturday the NCMS reported that the weather would remain fair to partly cloudy in general. The amount of clouds will increase at times over eastern and western islands. “Some towering clouds may develop over some of these areas, especially over the eastern and mountainous areas , with a chance of rain over these areas. Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times causing blowing dust / sand over some western open land areas,” the forecast said.

The weather will be similar on Sunday and Monday with an increase in clouds at times over western island and eastern areas with a chance of rain. Sea will be moderate in general with wave height 2 - 4 Ft offshore.

“On Saturday the temperatures dropped by 2 degrees. The coastal areas such as Dubai and Sharjah will witness temperatures ranging from a minimum of 22 to a maximum of 32 degrees. The temperature could drop as low as 13 degrees in some mountainous areas, especially in Jebel Jeia. We do not expect any major changes in temperature during the next week. The temperatures will remain more or less constant,” said an official.

Meanwhile according to reports residents of the northern emirates experienced light to moderate rain on Thursday. Most of Ras Al Khaimah and the surrounding areas remained cloudy.
