A man allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and then attempted to kill himself, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
RKB, 33, is accused of attempting to murder his girlfriend AAS, 39, after she broke up with him.
AAS says that RKB promised to marry her but never did, so she ended the relationship.
On March 4, RKB went to the beauty salon where AAS works in a drunken state and stabbed her several times.
However, AAS managed to run away and call the police.
RKB then stabbed himself thrice in an attempt to kill himself.
AAS needed an operation to remove her spleen damaged in the attack.
