Jobs at Sharjah airport: 2,000 people turn up for interviews today

Around 2,000 people turned up for interviews today to apply for jobs at Sharjah airport.

Sharjah Aviation Services, which is involved in passenger, cargo and ramp handling, and support services at Sharjah airport, is holding walk-in interviews for customer services agents Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Auto Village in Sharjah.
People had lined up early in the morning for the interviews.

There were also long queues of vehicles near Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club entrance on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road , resulting in traffic jam on the main highway heading towards Ras Al Khaimah.

Police was on the scene to monitor traffic.

Sharjah Aviation Services is a joint venture company between Sharjah Airport Authority and the low-cost airline Air Arabia. Involved in passenger, cargo and ramp handling, and support services, the company employs over 1,500 staff and a GSE fleet of more than 20 specialised vehicles and equipment.

Candidates wishing to join company must be holding at least higher secondary education degree and over one-year experience as a customer service executive with an airline, hotel or sales industry.

The candidates must have excellent communication and writing skills in English while proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage, the company said.

Aged between 21 and 35, the candidates should be flexible to work on shift basis and have good knowledge of MS Office.

Interested candidates head to Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013, between 8am and 3pm for walk-in interviews. They need to carry along updated resume and a passport-size photo.
