The Emirates Group comprises Dnata, the airport ground services and travel industry division, and Emirates, the group’s rapidly expanding airline.

One of the world’s largest airlines in terms of revenue and passenger kilometres, Emirates boasts a fleet size of 183 aircraft (as of September 2012), including 23 A380-800s, the world’s largest aircraft by capacity and the only one in a double-deck format.

Emirates’ order-book stands at 220, all wide-bodied aircraft (including 67 A380-800s), and is worth an estimated $62 billion. The airline currently serves 126 destinations in 74 countries.

“To operate our expanding fleet we are now recruiting the best pilots globally to work within our multi-cultural team of over 160 nationalities,” says Emirates.

“Besides career growth, Dubai is a tourism centre and modern cosmopolitan city with high standards of healthcare, education and leisure pursuits for residents. It also is one of the most desirable lifestyle locations in the world for families and individuals,” it adds.

The airline is offering technically proficient Captains and First Officers challenging career opportunities, which include world-class training, the chance to fly an extensive international route network.

First Officers also get a go at being upgraded to Captain when they gather sufficient flight experience and successfully clear the required exams.

The Emirates Salary and Benefits package comprises both cash and non-cash elements, with an Emirates Captain earning a monthly salary
of Dh41,240 (basic salary plus hourly flying pay based on 85 block hours per month).

Emirates’ First Officers receive a monthly salary of Dh29,145 (basic salary plus hourly flying pay based on 85 block hours per month).

An additional Productivity Pay is paid for every block hour above the threshold of 92 hours.

In addition, Emirates operates an employee profit share scheme based on the company’s performance and results.

A minimum tenure serves as the qualifying period for all new employees.

The airline reported revenues of $18.4bn and a net profit of $629 million in the 2011-12 financial year.

In addition to the cash element, Emirates pilots are also provided with company accommodation (including an additional utilities support
