'Joy of the Land': UAE 43rd National Day song [video]

The Government Communication Department at the National Media Council, NMC, yesterday hosted a National Day ceremony for NMC staff and their families at Al Bateen Beach in Abu Dhabi, where they launched 'Joy of the Land', a song that was written to celebrate the UAE's 43rd National Day.

The event was attended by NMC Director-General Ibrahim Al Abed, NMC employees, and their families, who came together to enjoy activities, including national knowledge competitions held on live local radio programmes.

Lyrics to Joy of the Land, which was an ode to the founders of the UAE and praised the country's achievements under the Union, was written by Mohammed Hassan Al Hammadi, from the NMC office in Al Ain.

NMC employees also took part in the painting of a mural that was dedicated to be a representation of the Union and an expression of love and loyalty to the homeland.
