An Arab bride was divorced moments after her marriage due to a family quarrel that broke out in the wedding hall in Sharjah.

Local daily Gulf Today, quoting hotel management over the incident, reported that the fight broke out over a video camera and the groom then asked the hotel to evacuate the guests from the hall, as he had divorced the bride.

The report states that the dispute between the couple’s families broke out because it was agreed that the husband’s brother would rent the video camera but he didn’t.

The groom saw the bride and her mother behaving impolitely with his mother so he allegedly immediately divorced her.

“He got a shock and was rushed to hospital in a bad condition after losing most of his life savings. The bride quickly asked for a divorce,” Okaz daily said.

The paper did not say whether the bride got the divorce nor did it mention where in Saudi Arabia the couples.
