Dubai weekend traffic: Major crash on Emirates Road

A major crash was reported from Emirates Road, near Dubai Academic City, heading towards Sharjah yesterday afternoon (Saturday, December 27).

According to eyewitness accounts, a Toyota FJ Cruiser crashed into a trailer on Saturday afternoon, with the front bumper and engine of the vehicle split into pieces upon impact.

Emirates Road was temporarily closed to traffic as the air ambulance was called in to airlift the injured.

Commuters were advised to use alternative routes until roads reopen.
