Maktoum chairs DIFC board meeting

The board of directors of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) has reviewed three reports on the strategic and executive plans of its three bodies.

The meeting, which was chaired by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and DIFC Chairman, took a decision to back the said plans which were drawn up by DIFC Authority (DIFCA), Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and DIFC Judicial Authority (DIFC Courts) in order to attract more foreign investments, banks and companies into Dubai.

The board stressed the important role DIFC plays in boosting the UAE's national economy.
