Male servant rapes housemaid

A male Bangladeshi domestic help has been accused of raping a Filipina maid working for the same employer in Dubai.

The case that came up for hearing at the Dubai Criminal Court accused FIH, 24, of barging into the maid’s room in their employers residence in the Za’abeel area and forcing himself on her before he raped her.

The man entered the room at 10pm on April 22 and forced ITM, 36, on to the bed.

The maid told the prosecution she was helpless since the strong man pinned her down and she could only scream for help after he got up.

Hearing her screaming, the family’s driver, an Indian national Mohammed Hanif, rushed in to see the woman all scared and weeping. When she narrated the incident, Hanif gave his mobile phone to call the police.

He testified before prosecution that the security guard, Indian national Soman, told him there was something amiss in the maids’ quarters where she was in. Then he heard the screams and rushed to the room.

On seeing him at the door, the accused ran away but was later arrested.

The victim was helped to the police station by EOT, a 22-year-old Filipina maid who too worked for the family.

Forensic examinations established the rape and the perpetrators's identity from semen samples collected from the victim’s body, clothes and bed.

On being arrested, FIH claimed he just had consensual sex with the maid who hugged and kissed him when he entered the room. He even claimed that he ejaculated only in the bathroom.

The case will now be heard at a later date.
