Man arrested with 57 heroin capsules

The Dubai Criminal Court heard a case of a Pakistani who allegedly possessed 57 capsules comprising 643.7gm of heroin.

SQG, 28, was arrested while attempting to sell the capsules to a police informer for Dh14,000 on March 15, testified Second Lieutenant at Dubai Police Abdullah Mohammed.

Following a tip-off police arranged for the deal via an informer. It was agreed that the accused would handover the substance in Al Quos area at 8.30pm.

“The accused came at the designated spot with a sac. However, he got suspicious and attempted to run away but the cops arrested him and confiscated the capsules hidden in a juice container," said Abdullah.

The Prosecution accused SQG with possessing drugs for trade purpose. The court adjourned the case until September 22.
