An Indian visitor allegedly attacked a couple in their apartment and threatened to kill them, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
The victim RSA, 32, testified that on July 19, she called the accused SAR, 32, asking him to return the money he owed them.
“After I told him repay the loan he had taken from us, he threatened to kill me and my family if I asked him again,” SAR testified
“One day he came to our house along with my husband. As they entered the house, he locked the door and rushed to the kitchen and turned the knob on the gas cylinder.”
RSA threatened to kill the entire family but RSA turned it off just soon after.
But the accused did not stop there, he pulled a knife to attack RSA’s husband HMR, 34. While trying to rescue her husband, RSA was wounded.
HMR, who is a PRO testified that he met the accused at the building entrance.
My wife stopped him. I could not resist him as I suffer a heart disease,” he testified.
Police arrested SRM on grounds of assault and attempted murder.
The Court will reconvene on March 6.
