Mixavit syrup withdrawn in Abu Dhabi

Healthcare providers in Abu Dhabi are advised to withdraw three new batches of Mixavit syrup from the market.

According to a report in Arabic daily Al Khaleej, the Health Authority-Abu Dhabi (HAAD) has decided to recall 3 new batches of Mixavit syrup after the medicine was found leaking from the package.

The drug is manufactured by Julfar, the report added.

Batches 953, 929 and 935 are being recalled, while earlier batch no 921 of Mixavit syrup had been withdrawn from the markets.

Pharmacists are advised to return these batches as well as report of any side-effects from patients who have used this medicine.
