Authorities at the popular indoor edutainment destination Modhesh World have introduced new safety standards to ensure children are safe while having fun.

In the event that kids are separated from their parents, provision is being made to keep them safe and entertained until they are reunited with their parents.

As soon as the kids enter the arena, they are given wristbands that display their name and parents’ contact information.

In a statement, the organisers said well-trained supervisors have been appointed in various locations in Modhesh World to continuously monitor the crowd.

The statement offers the example of 5-year-old Ahmed who was reunited with his mother Nawal Abdul Kader.

Ahmed was so distracted while playing that he accidently separated from his mother. The security staff noticed that he was unaccompanied and escorted him to the designated play area and kept him entertained until they contacted his mother through the information displayed on his wristband.

“The safety regulations give us a sense of comfort and relief,” said Nawal.

Modhesh World is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

The 16th edition of Modhesh World kicked off on July 9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and runs until August 29 under the theme ‘Every step is a new adventure’.

Modhesh World opens at 9 am until midnight from Saturday to Wednesday, and from 9am to 1am on Thursdays and Fridays. Entrance fee is Dh20 for kids and adults, and free for kids less than 3 years of age.
