His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai attended on Saturday, February 15, The President of the UAE Endurance Cup at the Emirates International Endurance Village, Al Wathba.
The prestigious CEI 3-star event was also watched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and Chairman of Emirates Camel Racing Association, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Chairman of General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare.
Adnan Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, and Lara Sawaya, Director of the Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, honoured the first three winners of the 160km race.
The winner, rider Ali Khalfan Al Jehouri, took home a cup, customised Rolex wrist-watch and a cash prize of Dh300,000, plus a car.
The runner-up received a cup, Dh200,000 plus a car while the third placed finisher went home with a car and a cash prize of Dh100,000.
