Mohammed holds talks with Gaddafi

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and his accompanying delegation arrived in Sert on Friday, where he was received at the airport by Major General Mustafa Al Kharoubi, member of the Libyan revolutionary command and a number of Libyan ministers and officials.

Sheikh Mohammed then moved to Maidan Al Naja, where he was welcomed by Colonel Muammar Al Gaddafi who wished him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay in Libya.

During the meeting, Colonel Muammar Al Gaddafi and Sheikh Mohammed discussed topics of mutual interest, as well as the Arab-Africcan summit, which will be held today in Sert.

Sheikh Mohammed and the delegation accompanying him were seen off at the Dubai International Airport by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Saeed bin Jumaa Al Maktoum and other senior officials.

The UAE delegation includes Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, State Minister Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi, director of the court of Dubai Ruler Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, UAE Ambassador to Cairo and UAE Permanent Representative to the Arab League Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhahiri, Director of Sheikh Mohammed's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, UAE Ambassador to Libya Abdullah Suleiman Al Hammadi.
