Mohammed, Mohamed bin Zayed open Dubai Airshow 2015

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday received heads of foreign civil and military delegations participating in the five-day Dubai Airshow 2015, which opened at Al Maktoum International Airport.

Their Highnesses shook hands with ministers of defence, transport and civil aviation and high-ranking military officials from more than 120 countries at the main reception tent at the airport.

They welcomed guests and wished them successful participation in the show featuring the latest civil and military aviation technologies. They also wished the guests a good stay in the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed were greeted at the main reception tent by children of the UAE servicemen who were martyred while taking part in 'Operation Restoring Hope' to defend legitimacy in Yemen.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today (Sunday) opened the 14th session of the Dubai Airshow 2015.

The airshow runs from November 8 to 12 at the Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai South.

In attendance were Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, and Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs.

Mohammed Al Bowardi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, and Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces were also present.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, along with senior military and security leaders, and dignitaries of the state, along with military delegations representing more than 120 sisterly and friendly countries taking part in the airshow, with the participation of more than 1,000 local, regional and international companies specialised in the civil aviation and military aviation industry.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended a number of the participating military and civil aircraft displays at the Dubai Airshow 2015.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, a number of military leaders, and heads of Arab and foreign military delegations also attended the airshow.
