It is Wednesday morning blues for UAE commuters with reports of traffic accidents and snarls coming in from Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
Earlier this morning, the authorities reported of a van overturned at the Dubai-Abu Dhabi border, causing snarls that stretched over a kilometre and caused slowing moving traffic for longer stretches, according to one eye witness.
Meanwhile, another accident has been reported on Sheikh Zayed Road, once again near Safa Park, causing another gridlock; reports coming in suggest a vehicle has crashed into the central reservation just after Al Safe Bridge.
Commuters exiting Discovery Gardens this morning also reported 45-minute delays into getting to the exit to Sheikh Zayed Road, with no known cause reported for the same.
Sharjah commuters also vented frustration on Twitter and Facebook for delays on the highways to Dubai.
