A truck has reportedly flipped over near the Dubai Investments Park roundabout, causing traffic chaos near the Greens Community on Sunday morning.

Authorities are reportedly on the scene, trying to manage traffic but eye witnesses say the tailback has caused snarls across the community and neighbouring Hessa Street.

A commuter posted this on Twitter, saying: “Truck flipped near the Emarat station just before the DIP/Green Community roundabout. Expect delays.”

Another tweeted: “The police are doing a fine job directing traffic getting my side of Dubai to school early. Anyone coming from Hessa Street? Oh dear.”

There is no confirmed report if someone has been injured in the accident.

Dubai Police has also confirmed an accident, tweeting on its official Twitter account: “An accident has been reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road after the Arabian Ranches Bridge towards Jebel Ali; please be extra cautious.”

Meanwhile, there are also reports of slow moving traffic near the Al Safa Exit on Sheikh Zayed Road, along with jams before the Trade Centre tunnel in Jafiliya, heading towards Abu Dhabi.

As parts of Sharjah remains underwater post the weekend storm, reports of morning showers continues to plague commuters heading into Dubai with the Ring Road and Maliha Road currently facing slow moving traffic, while the internal roads near Al Khan remain flooded.
