Visitors to Canada will now be automatically considered for a multiple-entry visa. This was announced by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and implemented per February 6, 2014.

The multiple entry visa, which previously cost CAD150 (Dh500) is now available for CAD100 (Dh250), the same price as for a single entry visa. Further, the stay can be extended for CAD25 (Dh85).

“By automatically considering applicants for multiple-entry visas, CIC will simplify the overall application process while promoting tourism,” stated the CIC adding that the changes would affect the roughly 35 million people who visit Canada every year.

A couple of other fee changes have been revealed by the authority, mostly including fee increases. While study permits and renewals will now be provided against CAD25 (Dh85), work permits and renewals are priced CAD5 (Dh17).

The maximum work permit fee for performing artists/staff is CAD15 (Dh50) and the maximum family fee for TRVs CAD100 (Dh250).
