Mum stripped off custody of 3 kids

An Abu Dhabi Court of Cassation upheld two previous rulings and rejected a mother’s request to take custody of her three children after finding that the woman had abandoned the three for their grandmother.

The woman filed a lawsuit to take her three children back, but she lost the case on the grounds the grandmother is more eligible to look after them.

An appeals court supported that sentence, prompting the woman to appeal with the Court of Cassation, which upheld that ruling.

After a lengthy session, the court decided in favour of the mother of their father after discovering that the woman had abandoned her kids and handed them to their grandmother.

The court also found that the mother has already married another man and got children from him while the new husband also has children from another wife.

“The court found that it is in the interest of the children that their grandmother takes custody of them after finding that she is eligible. The court rejected the case filed by the mother and ordered her to bear all expenses,” Emarat Al Youm daily said.
