The case of an Indian businessman who was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend’s son, is being heard at the Sharjah Court. According to ‘Al Ittihad’ daily, the court adjourned to next week to allow witnesses and co-workers of the victim testify.

The 53-year-old Indian businessman had helped bring the suspect, 22-year-old AK, into the country and gave him a job in one of his shops, according to court records.

Meanwhile, the lawyer of the victim’s family said the accused stalked the deceased to his flat and stabbed him several times, before fleeing with cash.

He added that the family has refused to accept blood money.

The lawyer said that Sharjah Police had interrogated about 200 people in connection with the case and added that investigations confirm that the stolen money was confiscated from the suspect’s room.
