A new bus route has been launched for Business Bay residents, effective April 1, which is expected to feed metro stations and add to the convenience of commuters using the public transport system.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority’s Public Transport Agency also announced it would improve other routes in Dubai with the aim of consolidating the public bus network in keeping with the growing demand for mass transit services in general and public buses in particular.

“The new Line (F14) would start off the Business Bay Metro Station at the Sheikh Zayed Road and pass by a number of towers in the area including Lillian, XL, and Ubora Towers in addition to a number of residential communities in the Business Bay including Mayfair, Clayton communities and the Bay Square,” said Adel Mohammed Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development, RTA’s Public Transport Agency.

He continued in the statement: “This route has been designed to meet the needs of customers in the Business Bay district and would offer a service at 15 to 30 minutes intervals (headway) during peak times.”

Shakri further added that starting from April 1, the RTA would also re-route the paths of Line 29 at Business Bay, Line F55 to pass through Dubai Logistics City, and Line C07 to pass through Gold Souk Bus Station.

It would also make changes in the path of Line F33 at Al Barsha, Line F46 at the Green Community, and Line F47 at Jebel Ali Industrial (extend it to reach the Dubai Investment Park 2), as well as Lines 96, X92 and F53 at Jebel Ali Industrial.
