A new mixed-use project with 278 residential units is under development in Jumeirah, a prime locality in Dubai, with completion expected by end of 2014.

According to Dubai Real Estate Corporation (DREC), the Dar Wasl, a leasehold project inspired by Moroccan architecture and located on Al Wasl road near to Safa Park, will have 166 three-, four and five-bed townhouses and 112 two and three-bed apartments.

The project, which will be managed by Wasl Properties, will have a total retail space of nearly 60,000 square feet.

Dar Wasl will have a clubhouse, which includes a gymnasium, swimming pool and play area for exclusive use of the residents, in addition to green spaces that are distributed throughout the site.

Ample parking spaces are available in the basement for retail customers, while apartments have been provided with an assigned parking space. Each townhouse has been provided with a covered space for two cars.

“Conceived as a tribute to Dubai, itself a fusion of the traditional and the modern, Dar Wasl stands apart by melding historical Andalusian architecture with the modern conveniences,” says DREC website.

Last year, DREC had released Wasl Square, dubbed — the Jewel of Jumeirah — for leasing, which consists of 26 one-bedroom apartments, 114 two-bedroom apartments, 14 three-bedroom townhouses and 116 four-bedroom townhouses.
