Newborn abandoned near hospital in RAK

An employee of Sabq Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah stumbled across a newborn boy abandoned just outside a ward inside the building.

The baby was taken to the paediatric section for examination and doctors said he was in good health.

Emarat Al Youm daily, quoting hospital sources, said the baby was abandoned by his mother who gave birth at a private hospital.

The woman’s face was covered, the report added.
