No amnesty for illegals after February 4

The Ministry of the Interior has confirmed that illegal residents will be fined if they are caught after February 4, 2013 and that this deadline will not be extended.

Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Director General of Naturalisation in the Ministry of the Interior, urged illegal residents to take advantage of the deadline and leave the country voluntarily.

He urged offenders not to wait till the last day of the deadline and to report to the many centres created specially to handle illegal residents.

Brigadier Rashidi was speaking the media in a reception centre for violators of the country’s residency laws in the Eida building in Musaffah in Abu Dhabi.

Brigadier Rashidi praised the cooperation between the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, Imas  Security Solutions Inc and Eida centres to facilities for offenders which will continue for two months from  December4  until  February 4, 2013.
