No reindeers, but you can hire Santa in Dubai

Father Christmas is coming to town and he can visit your house for a small fee – as low as Dh300.

With a modern touch, Mr. Santa Claus will come in a car (sorry, no elves or reindeers are available in Dubai), visit your house, whether you live in The Springs, Bur Dubai or elsewhere within city limits.

Various event management companies in the city are gearing up to accommodate as many requests as possible for a Santa-on-hire during this festive season.

And guess what, about a couple of weeks before Christmas, Santa still has some slots left in his schedule-book – so rush to make your booking.

But where exactly do we get the big man from?

The sweetest deal is when you buy a Christmas gifts for you children for a minimum value of Dh300 and have them delivered by Santa himself.

A shopping website Mumzworld.com will send the gifts home through Santa if you shop for Dh300 or more between now and December 30.

On the other hand, if you want Santa to spend some more time with your little ones, which includes games and dance as well, you will have to shell out a little bit more to make it memorable for your child.

Dubai-based party specialists Tumble Time can send Santa home for a minimum of Dh450. The hourly charges are Dh400/hour but to get to the minimum figure, you can hire things like tables or buy balloons for the party.

The ‘Santa package’ includes, of course, a Santa (who will give away gifts provided by you), photo-op with the little ones, plus games and dance with Santa.

Party Surprises Event and Entertainment is also providing Santa for hire, but insists that their Santas have a busier schedule, with most slots having been taken.

But if you think that Santa’s time comes cheap, well, there are, in true Dubai tradition, more lavish options.

Invent, an events management firm, provides Santa for Dh2,500 for two days, or Dh1,500 per hour.

Party specialists Flying Elephant too have some extravagant options to choose from. If you need Santa on a weekday, then be ready to shell out Dh5,000, which will include all that you need for a party – bouncy castles, chairs, tables etc. – and of course, Santa.

For those you are not inclined to spend so much, simply head down to one of the many shopping malls dotting Dubai’s landscape, where Santa will be kind enough for a picture without any changes or simply buy a costume that can be worn over the years.

Merry Christmas!
