The Intelligent Traffic Systems Dep’t at the Traffic & Roads Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has launched a new service to recharge Salik account through text messages, over and above the currently available Salik account top-up options; be it through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) by calling 80072545 (800SALIK) or visiting Salik portal.
The move comes as part of RTA’s continuous efforts to keep pace with the latest systems and standards in offering quality services to Salik customers and boosting customers’ satisfaction efforts.
Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA Public Transport Agency, said: “This step is in line with our commitment to realize RTA drive to improve customer service experience to bring it at par with excellence standards through saving customers time & effort, and simplifying the steps of recharging Salik account balance.
“We have noticed that the existing options for topping up Salik accounts, be it through telephone calls or Salik webpage, require several steps to go through. Therefore, we have capitalized on our efforts and expertise to provide another additional option in a bid to offer a handy service to customers and accordingly raise their satisfaction rating,” continued Maitha.
“The new service is so simple as it only requires the customer to write in the text message the following data, and in the following order: Number of Salik Tag, Salik Account Number, and Salik PIN; and then send these contents to the service-dedicated number 5959; whether being user of Etisalat or Du network. It emains to be said that the fees involved will be restricted to 30 fils per SMS.
“This step is intended to offer a handy solution to customers under RTA strategy that seeks to offer best-in-class services to all clients. The policy pursued by the Intelligent Traffic Systems will not be confined to figuring out innovative solutions to relieve the burden of Salik users only, but also ontinuously seeks to introduce new developments that render the system handy and user-friendly.
