In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE will host the Summit on the Global Agenda from November 12 to 14, 2012, to be attended by more than 1,000 experts from around the world.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE, said during a meeting with Borge Brende, Managing Director, World Economic Forum, that the directives of Sheikh Mohammed focused on providing and dedicating all facilities to make the event, which is hosted for the fifth consecutive year in the UAE, a major success.

“The strategic role played by the UAE in discussing global challenges and finding ideal solutions on various global issues highlights the leading position the country has achieved under the wise leadership globally. Hosting this prestigious event for the fifth consecutive year reflects the success of the UAE in hosting a global gathering that brings together the world’s foremost thinkers and professionals  here,” added Al Gergawi.

The Summit will host global thought leaders who will meet and interact to draw on the best knowledge resources to address pressing problems facing humanity. The Summit will recommend solutions that can be integrated into the international decision-making processes. The Summit will also present excellent opportunities for leading UAE innovators and thinkers to engage with their counterparts from all over the world.

The outcome of the Global Agenda Meeting forms the basis of the Annual World Economic Forum to be held in Davos 2013.
