Officials are making their all-out efforts to invite maximum number of people to make this event more successful than the last year. They are also distributing pamphlets during Friday prayers in different mosques of the Emirate. Around 150,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day event.

“I have two-day weekend and plan to attend Peace Convention. It is a great opportunity for me to really know about the Islam’s concept of peace,” Muhammad Aslam, Pakistani, said.

“My two non-Muslim friends will also attend this convention with me and I believe it will be a life-changing experience for them and a chance to remove any misconceptions they have about Islam,” he said.

Abdul Rasheed, another expatriate from Bangladesh, has already applied for three-day leave to attend the convention.

“I requested to my boss for leave because I do not want to miss this great opportunity. I am going there for strengthening my commitment to the religion and listen my favourite scholars, especially Dr Zakir Naik,” he said.

“My two cousins also coming along with their friends from Abu Dhabi,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that parents have no need to worry about their children as they also have a special place at the convention. The DIPC has an exciting range of fun-filled activities that will entertain, educate and inspire children aged between 5 and 14 years.

Kids Corner is designed to give parents the peace of mind of knowing their children are in the best hands, so that parents can fully enjoy the convention’s other activities.

Among the delightful activities that will thrill the kids are educational cartoon shows, competitions, games, painting activities to ignite their creativity – and their favourite food to recharge the energy of their busy bodies. At magnificent Animal Zone, children can see live animals and be awed by the breathtaking creations of the Almighty God.

Also the trained volunteers will oversee all activities and will keep a caring eye on the little ones to make this event an unforgettable experience in the children’s lifelong memories.
