Pakistani dies in Al Ain villa fire

One Pakistani man died in a residential fire in Al Ain, where an entire villa went up to flames yesterday.

The  29-year-old Pakistani man, identified as Farooq Jamshin Khan, suffocated as he made his way through the flames to gather some of his belongings, an Middle East Chandrika reported.

When he arrived at the emergency unit of Al Jimi Hospital Al Ain he was already dead, confirms the hospital.

According to the report about 30 people including Pakistanis, Sudanis, Indians, Egyptians and Bangladeshis lived in the villa.

Although no injuries have been reported, many seem to have lost valuables such as passports, money and clothes in addition to vehicles parked nearby.

Abu Dhabi Civil Defence was seen fighting the fire using helicopters for two hours.

The cause of the blaze is yet unknown.
