Pakistani judge boogying with 'dancing girl' quits

Resigns after video of event was posted on YouTube

Officials say a Pakistani judge has resigned after a video was posted on YouTube of him boogying with a so-called "dancing girl" at a party celebrating his brother's engagement.

Men in Pakistan often invite dancing girls — many of whom are prostitutes — to perform at such all-male events before weddings, akin to US bachelor parties.

Videos of these parties are often posted on the Internet, but it's rare for a public official to be caught in such a scandal.

Judge Mohammed Masood Bilal said Thursday the video was recorded during his brother's engagement party but declined to provide further details.

A court official, Mohammed Maqsood, says Bilal was working as a judge in the central city of Khanewal before he resigned Wednesday.

The video was posted July 20.

The fact that he resigned himself after this video was published is a clear sign of his guilt!

I am not sure why it has been made a big deal. A man is dancing with woman on his brother's engagement party. There is no vulgarity or sex scene in the video. Judges are humans too and they have every right to enjoy their family lives. Why can't a Judge dance on his brother's engagement?

This judge is a great entertainer. He is a judge or dancer? Can judges be entertainers?

I still can't understand what's the big deal and what's wrong in this video...why has it become news?? Shouldn't we mind our own business?
  • a_alahlawi 4 August 2012 01:08 7 6
This is the grim truth and don't say that its their personal business. He is a judge.

So let me get this straight, he resigns because he was video taped dancing? Since when did dancing become illegal or a crime? Dancing is a natural human act of expression. Some people need to learn how to grow up and understand how to live. People are starving and people are worried about dancing. I see we have our priorities straight!

What patent nonsense! There is no evidence that these women are prostitutes. All I can see is some men and women, fully clothed, dancing at a private party in someone's home. So what's the problem?
  • K 3 August 2012 14:18 10 4
Let them enjoy their private life...They are at least not spreading hate, not planing to kill others....No one has any right to interfere in others private life.

Who are we to object, when his family/wife don't object to it. Moreover, both wear appropriate clothing and movements were not obscene.

Isn't he a human being. What's wrong if he is dancing. Can't we consider a judge as a human? Pakistani dancing girls are very pretty by the way.

It is an example to be followed by CJ Iftkhar. Ch who's son has been found guilty of blackmaling and taking bribe on behalf of his father who is CJP. So, CJ must resign and get himself and his son cleared and cleaned as now only 6 months of his service are left.

So what if he danced with girl. If this dance effects on his Judgments then it is a problem. otherwise every second person would want to do this dance.

It is not written anywhere that judges cannot enjoy bachelor parties especially if its the wedding of his brother or close male family members. People should respect the fact that he resigned as soon as this video became public
