The Jumeirah Corniche Development boasts a 5-meter wide walk, 4-meter wide jogging track, and rest areas including retail kiosks, shaded benches overlooking the beach as well as public and health amenities [SUPPLIED]
Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed Phase II of the Jumeirah Corniche Development project, taking the completion rate of the project to 77 per cent.
Phase II spans 2.5km such that the beach side open to the public now extends to 4.5km.
Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, said: “The newly completed sector of the Corniche will be open for the public from the third week of this month.”
The Jumeirah Corniche Development project extends about 7 km and the project encompasses a 5-meter wide walk, 4-meter wide jogging track, and rest areas including retail kiosks, shaded benches overlooking the beach as well as public and health amenities.
The project boasts gorgeous landscaping and flooring works and will turn the sand beach into a vibrant venue fitted with abundant public utilities for beachgoers.
The final opening of the project is expected next October.
