Please return the corpse…it’s not your son

A Saudi father who buried his newborn baby after his death at hospital received an urgent call on the next day asking him to return the body because it was not his son, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Sunday.

The King Fahd Hospital in the eastern town of Khobar apologized to Fahd Doman over what it said was a mistake by its morgue employee who swapped the baby’s body for another, Sharq said.

The Hospital also apologized to another father who received the wrong body of his dead son, who was buried by Doman, the paper said.

“The baby swap series is continuing at Saudi hospitals….. this time it involved two dead babies,” it said. “The hospital apologized to both fathers and said it is working to correct the mistake.”
