Pregnant Emirati woman dies after leaving hospital

A pregnant UAE woman in her 20s died just hours after leaving hospital in Fujairah following treatment of sickness, newspapers reported on Wednesday.

The woman, a school teacher, has just left hospital and went back home with her husband on Monday when she felt sick again and lay on her bed.

Khalid Al Hafeeti said he went to check his wife late night but found that she was having difficulty in breathing.

He rushed her to the hospital again but she died on the way.

“I was stunned and confused at what happened to my wife,” he told the Arabic language daily Al Khaleej, which said authorities are investigating the case.
