President returns home

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan returned to the UAE on Saturday, following a private visit to Kazakhstan.

Sheikh Khalifa was received by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Among those who also received the President were Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, heikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Etihad Airways, Dr. Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, Pilot Staff-Brigadier Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Lt General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President, along with a number of Sheikhs and senior officials in the country.

Sheikh Khalifa was accompanied by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, Mohammed Habroush Al Suweidi, Advisor to the President and a number of top officials.

Issues federal decrees appointing judges

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued two Federal Decrees appointing eight new judges to the Federal Court of the First Instance.
The new judges were sworn in before Dr Hadef bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice.

The newly judges are: Mohammed Aderdour, Mohammed Al Mahadi, Abdel rahim Darweesh, Waleed Moheideen Kanakreah, Mohammed Sulaiman Ashtian Al Domour, Khaled Salem Hamoud Al Qatawneh, Ghaleb Ahmed Salem Al Kaloub, Essam Atwah Ouda Al Osaili, who were appointed as heads of the First Instance Court of the second category.

During his meeting with the new judges at the Ministry of Justice, Dr Hadef welcomed the new judges, stressing the importance of the independence of members of the judiciary, who have great responsibility in serving justice.

He also called for their keen interest in the application of the provisions of the UAE Constitution and laws as the basis for the functioning of judicial work.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Mohammed bin Hamad Al Badi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Justice.
