Prostitution den in Deira busted, three held

A 32-year-old jobless man, KKB, and LNR, 27, worker, along with a Bangladeshi, MSA, 33, allegedly brought in three women promising them jobs and then forced them into prostitution by threatening and physically assaulting them, the Dubai Criminal Court heard on Sunday.

While both the Indians are accused of operating a prostitution den, KKB is accused of confining the three women - KH, SA and FA.

The Bangladeshi mason is accused of exploiting a teenager SH, 15, by promising her a job in Dubai and later allegedely raping her thrice and forcing her into prostitution.

FK, 30, police officer, testified before the Prosecution that following a tip off received from the Ministry of Interior about a group of women being confined in two flats in Naif area, police raided the two flats and arrested those involved on November 4.

Police had to break into the first flat, which was firmly closed by steal locks from inside. KKB and six girls where arrested from there. KKB said he worked for Rahul and he was only assigned to guard the women and run the den.

Meanwhile, residents in the building guided police to another flat which was used for prostitution purpose.

SA, 31, sergeant, testified that KKB confessed to collecting Dh1,000 from each customer and selling alcohol, under Rahol’s instructions. 

SH told the Prosecution that a woman FE, who works in the UAE, convinced her father about a job opportunity in Dubai. When she arrived at the airport on October 6, MSA received her and drove her to FE's place where she was told that she would be working as a prostitute. When she refused, she was asked to pay  200,000 Bangladeshi taka and confined her. There first MSA rapped her and later a Pakistani. She was then shifted to the flat where other girls were put up.

The court adjourned the case until February 23.
