Heavy rain affected parts of the UAE over the weekend, with Ras Al Khaimah reporting the most damage.

According to Emarat Al Youm, one bridge collapsed in Ras Al Khaimah and several residents reported water seeping into their homes as heavy rain lashed the emirate on Friday and Saturday.

The NCMS had forecast the possibility of rain in the UAE over the weekend and residents of, and visitors to, Hatta, near the Oman border, claim the area saw heavy rain on Friday. There were reports of heavy rain in the Western Region of the UAE as well.

Al Bayan also reported a torrential downpour on Friday in Fujairah. The rain was accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong winds and lasted nearly two hours.

For today, the NCMS forecast states that the weather will continue to stay hazy and cloudy, with moderate to fresh winds will cause some blowing of dust and reducing horizontal visibility in some internal areas.

The sea will be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

The maximum temperature will range between 45 degrees Celsius and 41 degrees Celsius, with the minimum dropping to as low as 26 degrees Celsius.
