Rain prayers were offered in mosques and Eid prayer grounds across the UAE by Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the emirates, citizens and expatriates on Saturday morning.
The prayers were offered in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The prayer invoking God Almighty in supplication for rains descending on earth is performed as per the tradition of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
In Sharjah, His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, offered prayers at the Al Badie prayer grounds.
In Ajman, His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, offered prayers at the Eid prayer grounds.
A number of sheikhs, senior officials and a large number of worshipers including citizens and residents also joined the Ruler in the rain prayers.
In Al Ain, Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, offered prayers at the Eid prayer grounds in Zakhir area in the city.
In Fujairah, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, offered the prayers at the Omar Bin Abdul Aziz Mosque.
In Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, offered prayers at the Eid prayer grounds.
In Abu Dhabi, a large number of worshippers congregated at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to offer prayers for rain.
Sheikh Ali Al Hashimi, Religious and Judicial Adviser at the Presidential Court, led the prayers and gave a sermon.
