The UAE residents reported light to medium rains in different parts of the country on Thursday evening, bringing down the hot temperature.
According to residents, it’s raining in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Bur Dubai, Nad Al Sheba, Warqa and other areas and also in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Reports of thunder over parts of Bur Dubai and Jumeirah Parks areas have also come in from residents around 5.15am.

The UAE’s Met office has further reported scattered showers across most of Dubai.
The NCMS has further stated scattered showers would continue until Friday, limited towards eastern and southern parts of UAE.
In the latest weather statement on its website, the UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology issued an alert about rainy towering clouds, associated with fresh winds, blowing dust and causing poor visibility over the areas between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and some internal northern areas.
Another resident told Emirates 24l7 that it’s raining in Nad Al Sheba and it’s also heavily overcast towards Al Ain.
