Ramadan 'killer' car deals in UAE

Ask any avid car enthusiast, and they’ll tell you that the month of Ramadan is one of the best times in a year to buy a car in the UAE.

Car dealers in the country have already started lining up their offers, with slashed price-tags, low or no down payment, and a host of other freebies thrown in to entice customers into getting a new set of wheels.

Traditionally, UAE’s car dealers offer deals during the peak summer months and again during the month of Ramadan. These two periods generally account for almost half of their annual revenues, they say.

This year, the traditional summer sale period coincides with Ramadan, making dealers offer even sweeter bargains on new cars to make sure they meet their targets.

We scanned dozens of offers to being you our shortlist of some of the more attractive ones:

Honda

Al-Futtaim Honda is offering Ramadan deals across its Honda range of new cars. The company says it is giving away discounts of up to Dh5 million with four months’ deferred payments if the car is bought during this period.

Prices on new cars have been slashed. The Honda City is now available for a reduced price-tag of Dh49,900 (was Dh53,900 ). The 2016 Civic is priced at Dh69,900 (was Dh72,900), Accord at Dh79,900 (was Dh86,900) and the price of the CR-V has been reduced to Dh99,900 from Dh113,900.

The dealer is also offering accessory package on certain models. There’s also a tyres and window tinting offer valid during the sale period.

Toyota

Al Futtaim Motors is running offers on Toyota car models. No down payment, zero per cent interest rate for the first two years and no installment for the first three months have been packed as a bundle deal.

The prices have been slashed too. The Toyota Yaris Hatchback is available starting Dh349 per month while its sedan version is for Dh449 per month, Toyota Camry starts at Dh931 per month while the RAV4 starts at Dh1,238 per month.

Chevrolet

Chevrolet dealers in the UAE are also offering Ramadan deals on their cars. According to the company, if you buy a Chevrolet Tahoe, you can count savings up to Dh25,000. In the case of Impala, the amount you can save is up to Dh15,000 whereas it’s Dh10,000 on the purchase of Malibu and Cruze.

Jeep

Western Motors is also giving the zero down payment option, 5 years/100,00km warranty, 5 years/100,00km service, 5-year roadside assistance and free registration as part of its Ramadan offering.

The company has priced its 2016 Renegade for Dh69,900; Compass for Dh79,900; Cherokee Dh89,900; Wrangler for Dh99,900 and Grand Cherokee for Dh139,900.

Infiniti

AW Rostamani is giving a 10 per cent down payment option with a chance to get the value of your car back. It’s also offering 1 year complimentary insurance, 2 year complimentary service and 5 years extended warranty.

Mitsubishi  

Al Habtoor Motors is offering a zero percent down payment, 5 years/100,000km warranty, service up to 30,000km as part of its summer special.

The Pajero now starts from Dh89,900, Lancer from Dh39,900, Mirage from Dh37,900, Outlander from Dh74,000 and Montero Sport from Dh84,900.

Lexus

Lexus is paying the down payment for the car for you even before the Holy Month begins. This festive offer is available on select Lexus models only.

Volkswagen

Al Nabooda Automobiles is offering benefits such as zero percent interest up to five years, monthly payments starting from Dh994, 90 days deferred payment and up to 1 year of free insurance.

A five-year warranty, 3 years or 45,000km free service, 3-year roadside assistance and free registration have also been added to the list.
