Besides Ramadan deals, Etihad is also offering reduced fares in its economy and business class to several destinations from the UAE. To avail of this offer, you’ll need to book before December 24, 2015, for travel period between July 18, 2015 and December 24, 2015.

Qatar Airways too is offering special offers until tomorrow on select destinations. For example, you can fly from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok for Dh1,785; to Brussels for Dh2,135 for a return flight and to Munich for Dh2,035 among other destinations.

There are some special fares from Dubai and Sharjah too. The tickets need to be booked until May 7, 2015, for travel from May 8, 2015, until July 3, 2015.

Earlier in the year, many airlines had stated that they would review their fare structure as a result of the fall in global energy prices, which could mean lower fares for passengers.

The International Air Transport Association (Iata) expects consumers to benefit from lower oil prices this year. The aviation body predicts airfares will fall by an average of 5.1 per cent compared with 2014.
