With Ramadan and the Fifa World Cup coinciding this year, several hospitality chains have offered an extension to their annual tent offerings with plenty of football on the telly too.

However, even with football fever raging, the traditional ambiance of the Ramadan tents with the majlis seating, scrumptious fares and an evening spent with family and friends playing board games and socialising does not deter.

Emaar Downtown Ramadan Tent with A View


The annual Ramadan tent by Emaar returns with a tantalising menu and unparalleled views of Burj Khalifa in an air-conditioned setting.

Authentic Arabic dishes will be catered by The Address Hotels and The Palace Hotel, with the menu also including a variety of shisha flavours, with traditional live Arabic music.

Patrons have a seating choice within a large courtyard, a private majlis or a glass-enclosed garden with panoramic views.

The tent is located on Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard with valet parking available, along with underground parking.

Ajwan Ramadan Tent At Skydive Dubai


Debuting this year is the Ajwan Ramadan tent at Skydive Dubai, a collaboration between Eventique and the MBC Group.

With a seating capacity of 850 guests, Ajwan will be open from sunset until 4am, with the organisers stating in an official release that ‘top pan-Arab singers and Oud players will perform daily’, with a weekly surprise performance for guests.

Organisers say they will be hosting a range of celebrities such as actors, singers, filmmakers, directors, producers, TV anchors and presenters as well as VIP visitors throughout the month.

The food menu expected to feature variety of Arabian and International dishes prepared by Mama’s Catering.

And for those wondering, yes, they will also be screening World Cup matches and those looking to host a private event can opt for one of the 13 majlis areas.

A past favourite for residents of old Dubai, QD’s Al Sultan tent at the Dubai Creek Gold and Yacht Club returns once again for some scrumptious Ramadan meals and plenty of footie action with FIFA on the screens and shisha on the menu.
