Standard Chartered announced today that runners can register for the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon 2013 from today onwards. The bank also said that it had signed a three-year contract to extend its sponsorship of the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon until 2015.
The Marathon will be held on January 25, 2013, with the start / finish line in Downtown Dubai in the shadow of the iconic Burj Khalifa building. There will be four race categories - 42, 10 and 3 kilometres - and entry fees are 120, 60 and 15 US dollars, respectively.
The Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon also provides another a race category for companies to participate in - The Corporate Challenge. Registration for the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon 2013 is available online only at www.dubaimarathon.org.
The race attracted 600 runners in 1990; this year’s race in January attracted almost 20,000 runners across the 42km, 10km and 3km distances.
