Dubai Properties Group (DPG), a member of Dubai Holding, and master developer of destinations and districts including Business Bay, Dubailand and The Walk at JBR, has confirmed it is proceeding with the development of Culture Village; a creek side destination which aims to capture the culture and heritage of Dubai.

The Arabic themed development will be interconnected by 3.8km of promenade walkways, landscaped features, a retail souk and mixed-use complex overlooking the creek. An operator will shortly be appointed to design, build and manage a centrally located marina which will accommodate up to 60 boats with mooring and access points along the promenade directly connected to Dubai Creek.

Art Centre

Culture Village will also feature an innovative art centre developed by Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives, which will be a place for Jameel Art Collection and the Jameel Prize.

The centre will aim to support local and regional creative businesses and provides a platform for creative ideas and encounters.

Residences

The development is already home to a number of residential projects and will also feature ‘Manazel Al Khour’ a luxury residential development by DPG, with three and four bedroom luxury apartments offering panoramic views of the creek.

This latest addition will further add to the appeal of DPG’s latest key creek side destination for Dubai.

Leisure, hospitality and residential projects already underway in Culture Village include the luxurious 6 star Palazzo Versace Hotel due to open next year and the nearby D1 Residential Tower scheduled for completion in 2014.

Cultural diversity

Speaking about Culture Village, Khalid Al Malik, Group CEO of Dubai Properties Group said: "Culture Village has been created to capture the strong heritage and cultural diversity of Dubai.

“It will be a key destination to add to our growing portfolio of destinations and districts alongside Business Bay, the new modern business capital of Dubai, The Walk and JBR with is beachside appeal and Dubailand with its diverse and tranquil setting.
